A continuous 4,000-mile / 6,500-km trail of footprints from 14 March 2011 in Istanbul to 6 December 2011 in Edinburgh, via moor, plain, and mountain, through storms and cities, joys and agonies, by mid-day sun and dark of night.
UPDATE – 14 MAY 2013:
WALK THE WEST
After months of planning, I’m entering yet another round of preparations for another long walk: 2,400 miles from Galveston Bay to Seattle across the American West. Along the way, I’ll record material for a 50-minute video combining my own traveling experiences with tales from Western transit history and conversations with residents of the West who help to make transit across the region possible. I’ll examine how personal transit experiences shape our sense of place, and how collective transit experience shapes the image of an entire region.

I’m looking forward to getting this thing on the ground.
